6.0 Powerstroke Performance Intake

Outside of a tuner, a cold air intake is our favorite modification for the 6.0 Powerstroke. The factory intake is restrictive so once you are tuned and running above stock boost levels it is important to bring more airflow to the turbocharger. Even on a stock 6.0 Powerstroke an upgraded intake provides numerous benefits in the form of power gains, fuel efficiency, and turbo spool.

Our 4" upgraded intake outflows the factory intake by more than 50%. Bringing more air to the turbocharger improves its efficiency which which provides more power, faster acceleration, better throttle response, and a quicker turbo spool. Additionally, it can result in 1-3mpg improvements making it one of the best performance modifications for a 6.0L Powerstroke. 

Coupling our cold air intake with our Upgraded Intake Horn/Elbow is a great way to increase airflow even more, maximizing the benefits from the intake upgrade.

Note: our intake does not have a factory CCV hookup. You will need to either reroute the PCV system, use a catch can setup, or vent it to the atmosphere.

Our intakes are made with high-quality aluminum piping and are finished in a wrinkle black style that minimizes heat transfer, keeping the intake piping cooler than a typical powder coated or raw finish. We only use the best S&B air filters on our intake kits to ensure the best filtration.

Open Air Design

For the benefit of performance we only manufacture open air intake kits. The box on closed intake designs is a restriction to airflow - while these boxed intakes will still outflow the factory intake they will always underflow an open intake and the box can become too restrictive at high power levels. The temperature difference between an open or closed intake design is irrelevant due to the intercooled nature of the 6.0 Powerstroke. The downsides of the minimal (1-2 degree) increases in air temps are outweighed by the benefits of the additional airflow you get from an open intake which is why we only manufacture open intakes.

This intake does not have a CCV port. The factory CCV system will either need to be rerouted, vented to atmosphere, or have a catch can installed.
