SCT X4 Performance Tuner - 6.0 Powerstroke

The SCT X4 device is one of the best tuners available for the Ford 6.0 PowerStroke diesel. This handheld programmer uses a 2.6" x 5.5" full color LCD screen which makes tuning, datalogging, and monitoring as easy as possible. It also offers a very fast & easy to navigate interface.

6.0 PowerStroke X4 programmers come with 4 preloaded tunes (performance, street, towing, transmission only) and can store up to 10 custom tunes. Tuning the Ford 6.0L diesel is as simple as 1-2-3 with the X4 tune. Plug the SCT X4 into your OBDII port, select the tune, and within minutes your truck is tuned and ready to go. As shown above, this programmer offers some great benefits and features - especially for its price. With the performance tune the SCT X4 can add up to 150 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque on the 6.0 PowerStroke. Other preloaded tunes are street, towing, and trans only. The SCT X4 also improves throttle response, offers firmer shifts, and allows for a lot of other customization via user adjustable features. A 5.5" LCD screen makes tuning, monitoring, and datalogging straight-forward.

Four preloaded tunes are included with the 6.0 PowerStroke SCT tuner including:

Performance Tune

The performance tune is the most aggressive, performance-oriented tune on the X4. It offers the biggest power and torque gains and is good for everyday use, racing, or economy. However, any form of towing is not recommended when running the 6.0 PowerStroke performance tune.

SCT X4 Street Tune

The preloaded street tune gives a good balance of economy, performance, and towing. Gains are lower than the performance tune, but this tune is safe for towing up to 5,000 pounds.

Towing Tune

SCT X4 towing tunes are primarily focused on towing. This tune does increase boost and power, but is less focused on all-out performance. Shift points are specifically optimized for towing with the 6.0L diesel.

Transmission Only Tune

Trans only tunes are for towing heavy loads. The engine, boost, power, etc. are all left stock and only transmission shift points are tuned for towing heavier loads. It's a good alternative to the towing tune if you don't want or need the added power while towing.

Is the SCT X4 the Best 6.0 Diesel Tuner?

We believe the X4 is the best all-around tune for the Ford 6.0 PowerStroke. It's hard to beat the features and benefits of the X4 for the price. As such, this is the only tune we offer for the 6.0L diesel engine. We also offer the Edge Insight CTS3 which offers a better screen for monitoring and logging. However, the Edge Insight does not support tuning.
