Description

The 6.6L L5P Duramax is one of the most impressive turbodiesel V8 engines ever produced by GM. With near 4-digit torque figures and 445 horsepower, the L5P is certainly no slouch from the factory. With that being said, there are plenty of diesel heads out there looking to push their (2017+) 6.6 Duramax to its maximum potential. Luckily, there are tons of fantastic performance modifications available for the L5P Duramax, one of the best being the Edge Pulsar V3.

The Edge Pulsar V3 is a plug-and-play tuning device that plugs directly into your Duramax's factory PCM. Once installed, you'll be able to select from 5 different power levels, each optimized to provide the best acceleration, towing ability, and overall drivability from your L5P-equipped Chevy. In addition to the added performance, you'll be able to make adjustments to multiple other important facets of your engine, including speedometer adjustments, TPMS adjustments, tire size adjustments, axle ratio adjustments among others. The Pulsar V3 also allows you to diagnose and clear engine codes, all from the control buttons on your steering wheel.

The Edge Pulsar V3 is the ultimate plug-and-play tuner for your L5P Duramax. At full tilt, the Pulsar V3 will provide your L5P with an additional 136 horsepower and 293 torque to the wheels. In real-world terms, that equates to a 3/4 second faster quarter-mile time at 6 mph faster than stock. Additionally, the Pulsar V3 had built-in transmission fail-safes that will back the power down if it experiences any slipping. Does the 6.6 Duramax L5P Edge Pulsar V3 have support for custom tuning?
Due to the fact that the Pulsar V3 is a plug-and-play device that connects directly to the factory L5P PCM, it does not support custom tuning. You are able to select from the five preset tunes included with the device.

Is it difficult to install the L5P Pulsar V3?
For someone that knows their way around a set of tools, installing the L5P Pulsar V3 should be a piece of cake. Overall, the process consists of removing the driver's side fender well, unbolting the PCM, plugging the Pulsar into the factory PCM, installing mounting brackets onto the Pulsar and PCM, and reassembling everything. In total, the process should only take around 30-45 minutes.

Does the 6.6 Duramax L5P Edge Pulsar V3 support DPF deletes?
The 6.6 Duramax Edge Pulsar V3 does not support DPF Deletes. Edge Products complies with all emissions standards and doesn't manufacture any equipment to delete DPF, EGR, or alter emissions equipment.

Can the 6.6 Duramax Edge Pulsar V3 be used on multiple vehicles?
If you own several vehicles, you cannot use the Edge Pulsar V3 on all of them simultaneously. However, you can use the programmer on another vehicle after returning the original truck to its stock settings and swapping the Pulsar V3 from one truck's PCM to another.
