SCT X4 programmers include four preloaded tunes for the 6.4L PowerStroke diesel engine:

Performance Tune

The preloaded performance tune is the most aggressive tuning option on the X4. This tune offers the biggest horsepower and torque gains and is good for everyday use, racing, and economy. Towing in any form is not recommended with the performance tune.

SCT X4 Street Tune

Street tunes deliver a great overall balance of economy, performance, and light towing. Power and torque gains are lower when compared to the performance tune, but the street option is safe for towing up to 5,000 lbs. It's also a great choice for everyday driving if you want to keep things on the less aggressive side.

6.4 PowerStroke Towing Tune

SCT X4 towing tunes are mainly focused on towing of any form. The tow tune does increase boost and power, but with much less emphasis on performance. Shift points are optimized for towing with the 6.4L PowerStroke.

Trans Only Tune

Last up is the X4 transmission only tune. This tune leave the engine and boost completely stock and only the transmission shift points are changed. It's a great alternative to the towing tune if you don't want the added power and boost while towing heavier loads.
